I’ve had an extremely fortunate life through my career of Professional Surfing, and travelled this world more in the last few years than most people will in their entire lives. And through my travels and experiences and seeing the world from the ocean, I have discovered a love for my country stronger than ever before. With a country so vast and filled with endless beauty, it made becoming an aerial photographer easy. I’m lucky enough to have a brother (Dane Staples) that comes from an extensive filming background who’s taught me a little of what I know, and from there it became more than a job, it became my other passion. I think the fact that my two passions and ways of life go so hand in hand, has allowed me to truly capture more of the country than I expected, and fall even more in love with the art of Drone photography and filming. I can only hope that with my photographs  and films, I can create a piece of art for every person’s home or every person’s life, that will spread the beauty that South Africa has to offer.
